I’ve been toying with the idea of converting some software I’ve written (in Python) into a scripting language. Or library. I haven’t really figured that out yet.

I guess the pro’s of making it a library are that people who are already familiar with Python can use it with little to no learning curve. The cons to this are that I am a controlling jerk, and maybe I don’t want people to be able to use my code however they please.

Creating my own scripting language is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and this would be the perfect project to do it. But maybe I just want bragging rights and an online community who worship everything I do. Those are standard fare for the people who create their own languages. Like I said, controlling jerk.

Wow this has been a long time coming. I gotta be honest, I really dislike the old design. I threw it together over a period of maybe 10 hours just so I could have something to show for a job I was going for. It wasn’t really thought out and looking back on it now, I honestly don’t know why I got hired. Guess I did something right in the interview, or the stars were in alignment or whatever (no Elliot, I don’t believe in astrology, sit back down) . Don’t get me wrong, the direction I was going in was good, but after I had secured employment, the site had served it’s purpose and the need to flesh it out to full completion just wasn’t there anymore.

So just over a year and a half later, I figured it could use a refresh. I had a stack of leave built up, and it’s not like I’m going to do anything useful to do so I figure hey, why not waste my time redesigning a website that I’ll probably never use. That way when it comes time for me to pay for hosting again, I can justify spending money on this site instead of more useful things, like cigarettes.

Anyway, as is tradition with my websites (both professional and personal), I leave you with a picture of our supreme overlord and master.

DASVIDANYA!
